Olivia and Matteo hosted a gorgeously relaxed wedding day at Sunflower Hill Farm in Missouri full of fun and thoughtful of details, from favors of local sunflower honey to a fabulous sparkler exit. The wedding was one of the three celebrations the couple hosted, including an intimate soireé in Matteo’s native Italy.

Bride Olivia envisioned a summer garden theme that combined the feel of their charming Missouri farm venue with their love of the Italian countryside. “Their details were elegantly rustic and charming with pops of blush pink and mauve,” explains Missouri wedding photographer and Fine Art Curation member, Ashley Carrington. “On the tables for their open air reception, blush pink florals in bud vases and gold candle holders with tapers set the scene for a beautiful dinner. Guests found name cards tied with silk ribbon, and a small bottle of honey made locally at Sunflower Hill Farm.”

We complemented the garden ambiance with deeply engraved letterpress in a lovely shade of pink on fine cotton paper with floral illustrations that seemed to dance on the page. The calligraphy-style script font went perfectly with the modern charm of the invitation suite and aesthetic of the wedding day.

Ashley continues: “Before the ceremony, Olivia and Matteo shared a first look on the venue’s wrap around porch overlooking the property. It was so sweet! Olivia had seven bridesmaids including Matteo’s sister from Italy, and Matteo had three groomsmen including Olivia’s brothers and Matteo’s best man, who traveled there from Italy. Their dog even got to stop by before the ceremony, and then again at the end of the evening before their sparkler exit!”
